"How long does SEO take?" is the most reasonable question a business owner can ask, and the most common one we dodge with "it depends." It does depend — but that's a cop-out without numbers behind it. First, the honest headline: if anyone promises you page one in 30 days, walk away. The only terms that rank that fast are your own brand name or a phrase with no competition. For anything you'd actually pay to rank for, real movement takes months, not weeks. Here's what those months look like.

The two biggest accelerants are an aged domain with existing authority and low local competition. The two biggest brakes are a brand-new domain and a thin-content starting point.
